My goal in painting figures is to depict through facial expressions and body language, circumstances to which the viewer can relate or imagine. This painting impressed me with a spirited anticipation of some news or event that she
couldn't wait to hear about. I use both transparent and opaque watercolors to achieve the objective I'm after.
