Artist's Statement about this work: She crochets for them all, though her arthritic fingers protest. Her kids, grands, and great-grands. Nephews and nieces as well, and some neighbor kids. She explained this to me as we waited together for our cars to be repaired. She cares for them and blesses them in those many exacting stitches.

Artist's Statement about this work: This painting was inspired by a setting in Charleston , Oregon. The warm colors and mood were inspired by an early morning that I spent there in the 1980's. The painting, however, was done in August of 2021.

Artist's Statement about this work: Ed Abbey, an early seasonal ranger when Arches National Park was still a national monument, relates in "Desert Solitaire" : "I am not alone after all. Three ravens are wheeling and squawking at each other and at the dawn." This is my recreation of that vision of solitude.

Artist's Statement about this work: Grace was a beautiful woman I met at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY. Her name fit her beauty both inside and out. I was impressed and had a delightful time capturing her uniqueness with my watercolors.

Artist's Statement about this work: Reflections on water are always a challenge and a delight to paint. This scene of a bright yellow kayak seemed to be made for an artist. The warm yellow reflections cast onto the cool green water were surrounded by subdued purple reflections creating a gem like harmony to the scene. The story in the scene is also intriguing. Will the kayaker choose to pass through the opening at the lake's edge to find what lies beyond? Does the outlet release a quietly moving stream of water, much unlike the calm, deep, green lake? Or will it be a rapidly moving burst of water into a river of high adventure?
